About Boardwalk Porsche

“We have the only car that can go from an East African safari to Le Mans, then to the theater, and then to the streets of New York. That’s a Porsche.”—Automobile Designer Ferry Porsche

It’s no coincidence that Porsche was the first marquee in the Boardwalk portfolio.

From the iconic 917 that set a course for more than a dozen 24 Hours of Le Mans victories, to actor Steve McQueen’s class victory in a 908 at the 12 hours of Sebring, Porsche embodies nothing if not top-flight performance.

Yet it’s the venerable 911 that draws the most fervent devotion, if not the bulk of Porsche’s 28,000 racing victories.

Founded in 1931 in Stuttgart, Germany by Austro-Hungarian engineer Ferdinand Porsche, Porsche has grown into one of the most celebrated manufacturers of high performance automobiles in the world. Its relentlessly evolving stable of models is noted for being as surefooted on the track as it is on the boulevard.

For five consecutive years (2005-2009) Porsche was named the top luxury automobile in the U.S. according to surveys of affluent consumers by the New York-based Luxury Institute. More than any other manufacturer, Porsche has mastered the art of continuous incremental improvement.

Boardwalk is firmly rooted in Porsche performance DNA. It’s Dallas-Fort Worth inception began in 1999 when founder Scott Ginsburg purchased the tiny Town North Porsche dealership in Richardson. Today Boardwalk’s performance commitment is expressed in a 36,000 square foot state-of-art dealership, among the largest stand-alone Porsche stables in the U.S.

The Boardwalk Porsche showroom is an automotive jewel case. Dark floors and subtle ambient lighting play backdrop to cars that glimmer like exhibits in meticulously choreographed highlighting. The entire operation is staffed with the finest management professionals and automotive technicians in the business.

Yet awards and spotless service records don’t express this quite like the levels of confidence in us displayed by our customers. In 2009 when the Gumball 3000--an annual 3,000-mile international road rally--coursed through Dallas, a noted performance car collector chose Boardwalk to restore his exceptionally rare Porsche 959. The prized exotic—never sold in the U.S.--was shipped thousands of miles to Boardwalk from an international destination.
